Certified Boom Repair stocks and has access to many different types of structural steel due to the nature of our boom and crane repair business.

The most common type of steel we stock is A514, commonly referred to as T1. A514 steel has a minimum yield strength of 90,000psi but usually comes out of the mills at over 100,000psi yield. Stocking sizes range from 3/16" to 1".

Other types of steel used in the more modern types of boom, or radius boom is the Weldox 960 and 1100. These types of steel range from 130,000psi yield to 140,000psi yield.
