It's purpose is to notify the operator if the crane boom is not in it's stowed position. The way its works is there is a light/buzzer mounted in the dash of your vehicle. When the boom is fully stowed it activates a sensor telling the alarm it is stowed. If the boom is not completely stowed then when the operator releases the Power Take Off the alrm sounds and light flashes.

The switch kit is very user freindly and simple to install. It usually takes a qualified faciltiy about 2 hours. With the kit you will get instructions and a wiring schematic.
