Facility

Certified Boom Repair is located just outside of Downtown Tampa in the historic Ybor City district. We are situated on a total 4.5 acres. We have a total of about 25,000 square feet of shop and office space.

Originally, Certified Boom Repair operated out of a 4,000 square foot facility with only three welding tables and had our mechanic’s working in the “dirt”. Due to the growing demand and aspirations of expansion, in the summer of 2004 we added a 6,000 square foot facility with 8 bay doors, 5 welding tables (all “zeroed” for efficiency and accuracy), and a 5 ton over head crane. This has increased production and decreased lead time for customers. For the same reasons above, in the Fall of 2006 we added another 6,000 square feet with 7 bay doors, a 10 ton overhead and stake pockets strategically located throughout the floor to be able to disassemble and reassemble booms. Two of the bays are dedicated to crane installation and the other three bays are dedicated to service work.

The original 4,000 square foot facility is now part machine shop, parts storage, shipping and receiving and expanded breakroom facilities.
